33% of the energy produced by humanity is consumed by heating and cooling of indoor spaces. One out of 5 people you see around you will die from indoor air pollution. These are the world’s biggest problems, and yet today, we’re flying blind.


Air conditioners, heaters, fans and air purifiers are not connected and have no access to basic information about our environment. Consider these simple questions:

“Is there anyone in the room right now?”

“What is the air qualitypollution level inside, and is it better than outside?”

“What is the price of energy right now?”

“Is the CO2 level inside becoming dangerously high?”

“Is the air conditioning unit working less efficiently than last summer?”


Sensibo solves the sensing and connectivity gap of our end equipment by connecting it to a centralized AI based operating system in the cloud. Hundreds of thousands of customers use our products every day and leverage our machine learning technology to enjoy a modern smart home experience, save up to 40% on energy and breathe clean air. At the same time, they save the planet by reducing their CO2 footprint to fight climate change.


We are now expanding our reach from D2C to form partnerships with industry players (manufacturers, energy companies, governments, property managers, etc.) to solve the problems on a greater scale.


We are looking for a professional head of business development to drive new partnerships, open markets and close business deals, taking our technology and products to make an impact on the lives of millions around the world.



Responsibilities

  • Be a key player in building the company’s business and partnerships strategy 
  • Identify and open new markets and partnerships for our products.
  • Close partnership deals in the millions of dollars
  • Build the business development in the company from scratch with processes that scale
  • Engage with potential partners, present the company and its technology
  • Initiate programs with global partners taking into account their needs
  • Develop creative outreach strategies to attract clients and partners
  • Prepare presentations, MOUs, contracts, etc. in complex long term deals
  • Stay on top of all the market trends to find new opportunities and ideas for partnerships


Requirements

  • 7+ years experience as a Business Development leader or similar managerial role.
  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets.
  • Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients.
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • A great team player
  • Decision-making and negotiating skills.
  • The ability to motivate yourself and set your own goals.
  • A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch.
  • Experience partnering with consumer appliance companies (An advantage)
  • Experience working with power utility companies - (An advantage)
  • Experience in IoT and/or Air Conditioning and/or Air Quality (An advantage)
